The Golden Boys Freddy Dodge and Juan Ibarra Are Back in Business

By: Discovery

Can't stop this shine. The duo returns for a new season of Gold Rush: Freddy Dodge's Mine Rescue on Friday April 1 on Discovery.

March 17, 2022

Gold guru Freddy Dodge and master fabricator Juan Ibarra are showing struggling miners how to turn their fortunes around. Bringing over 40 years of experience, Freddy and Juan are the ultimate mining masterclass teachers. Their ingenious solutions, expert eyes and clever bush hacks dramatically can increase even the worst gold operation.

GOLD RUSH: FREDDY DODGE’S MINE RESCUE premieres Friday, April 1 at 9 PM ET/PT on Discovery after an all-new episode of “Hoffman Family Gold” and will be available to stream the same day on discovery+.

Gold mining might not look that difficult but without the right skills, tools or experience, few miners ever become profitable. Luck can come in many forms, and for some that means the arrival of Freddy and Juan to share their invaluable mining knowledge to help operations maximize their pay day.

In a second season, Freddy and Juan are traveling even further and facing tougher challenges than ever before in their quest to help miners in need.

In Alaska a single father hopes to fulfill a promise to his young daughter and her late mother to turn their struggling hobby mine into a profitable business. In Colorado, a father and son team grapple with a major clean up problem and even bigger relationship issues.

Even “Gold Rush” veteran Jim Thurber recruits Freddy and Juan in hopes they can guide his buddies to turn their 130-year-old claim in Oregon into a commercially viable mine.

Is there any mining challenge Freddy and Juan can't fix? Watch the new season to find out and follow the conversation on social media with #GOLDRUSH and following Gold Rush on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
